The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared in the 2010 film "Badmash Company" alongside Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The film was met with mixed praise. Anushka appeared as an Punjabi girl of middle class in a film called 'Band Baaja Baaraat.' She starred alongside Ranveer. It received positive reviews. Anushka's contract to make three films under Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
